Russia and the WTO: long negotiations and probable consequences of accession

16 april 2007 at 17.00 the Center for Comprehensive International and European Studies of the Faculty of World Economics and International Affairs of the State University Higher School of Economics arranged the master-class of I. Ivanov, leading Russian expert on the WTO issues and Russia-EU trade relations:
 
“RUSSIA AND THE wto: LONG NEGOTIATIONS AND PROBABLE CONSEQUENCES OF ACCESSION”

T. Bordachev, director of the Center for Comprehensive International and European Studies, moderated the discussion.

Ivan D. Ivanov – member of Russian Academy of Sciences, senior scientific worker of the Institute of Europe.
Mr. Ivanov earlier worked as a Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Foreign Economic Relations (1986 –1991), Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia (2000 – 2001), Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia in the European Communities (1996 – 2000).
Mr. Ivanov is a leading Russian expert in the framework of trade relations with the European Union, he affected the form and content of contemporary political and legal relations between Russia and the EU. Author of a great number of scientific works on the economy of European integration and issues of foreign trade.

The master-class took place in the State University Higher School of Economics (11, Pokrovsky boulevard, 209-G).
The students, postgraduates and teachers of the Higher School of Economics and other universities, interested in issues of world and domestic politics took part in the discussion.
